Did anyone realise that in life, we are always making choices?? I mean it is not a secret at all, right?

However, in recent time, I managed to realise (more deeply)  that having the ability to make choice is actually a privilege and it does gives one the power to choose and a chance to create or do something different.

It has been exactly a month since I left the place that I was so fond of.  In this 30 days, lots of choices have been made. Some are small and some are BIG, and every single choices comes with its own consequences.

Like for example, making the choice to stay up late to watch the world cup and getting in return, the consequences of dark eyes ring and mum’s nagging. Or, choosing to agree to help a friend out of my own time and commitment as a surety so that she can embark on her future career or on a pessimistic consequence of her breaking the bond and I need to be responsible for it.

Whatever is the “decision”  made or the “choice” made as it is known in this post, one stills haves the power to make a difference. And the other thing about what makes making a choice so powerful is that it takes COURAGE, to make a choice.

Sometime people make choices because of the known possible consequences but there are also times where you don’t know what’s the consequence and still make that choice and to me the latter is terrifying and it takes lots courage as well. 

I’m currently am at this stage where fear for the future and the unknown is wanting to consume me (for a month and ongoing), however, at the same time, the space that I have now let me know that I’m open to choices. I have in me the power to make a difference to my own life because I have the privilege to have choices and I’m really thankful for that.

The next step, is to really to get/build that courage to make that choice for me to move on.  When will the decision comes? Honestly, I got no answer to that. But what I know is that, at least today,  I have make a choice  to put my slacker-life and a month of resting to an end and this choice has unknowingly develop my courage and confidence a little be more.

The title of this post was a quote said to me by one of my participants in a recent training camp. He said that, the statement just came to his mind when he was thinking how to summarise his learning from the camp. Kudos to him, as for me, this quote “Fate, doesn’t lies in the stars but it lies in you. You choose your Fate, nobody but you” really struck me big time!!

It just make me realised that whatever you do or where ever you are now has little to do with Fate but it got everything that is to do with yourself. Where you are or what you are today is hugely due to the choices you had made in life and it had nothing to do with Fate… just use my current situation as an example, it is not Fate that make me working as a trainer now, it is not fate that brought me a degree, it is not Fate that fails my business venture and it is not Fate that I am who I am today.

It is me, myself that make who i am today, Why?  this is because, at certain and different points in my life, I had decided to make a choice and made a decision and stick to it. Regardless, the results of the choice is positive or negative, I am the one that create my own results and I will be responsible for it .

When we are talking about choices we are always talking about options too, in any situations, there are plenty of choices and options , however, the challenge is, are we able to see them or not.

Many of time, people fails to be aware that they are the one who got themselves into certain situations, hence they seldom will take responsibility to their own life… and more often than not, they will push everything to the Fate, saying things like.. “this is destiny,i can’t change it, i’m fated to be like that” etc, etc.

Guess what, for people who always says those above-mentioned statements, things will never going to change for them, and that’s because they had leave everything to Fate, there is no need for them to take any form of action because they believed that whatever is going to happen to them is due their Fate! And not long from now, they will also forget that they actually can have choices to make a difference to their own life.

The good thing now is that I’m aware that I have not allow myself to let fate to decide who am I and what am I, I’m really happy to understand that where am I today is largely due to my choices that I had made in the past. I will not blame Fate for my downfalls,nor will I use Fate as an excuse if things are not moving smoothly for me.

I’m so glad that I have the awareness that indeed “Fate, doesn’t lies in the stars but it lies in you”, and because of that, I am able to be more clear of what I want and what are the choices and options available to me.

Now is really the time to take responsibility and ownership of my own life, so that I can design my Fate and not let Fate design me.

Get Real!!  is the message that I have for myself today.

Life is a roller coaster ride, there are high point and low points. It has its bright and dark side.

Right now, I don’t think any one’s life is just filled with all the high points and nothing else, nor I believed any one’s life is just filled with just all the low points and nothing else.

One’s life definetly has its bright and its dark side. and hence the reason why I choose this theme that able to contrast the feeling and the thoughts I have for my life, my thoughts and my experience for the world.

Be it Bright or Dark, Good or Bad, High or Low, Warm or Cold, Right or Wrong, Pleasure and Pian, Life should go through it all, the most important is that We, humans, can feel and must learn from all the experience.

If you never been experienced what Warmth is? How can you ever understand how warm feels like? Same thing if you never experienced what pain is, how can you explain pain?

The key here is it is only when you been through both extreme then you can totally understand whats the difference in life.

To me, to be happy and sad is a choice and it is only a fine line that separatehappy and sad just like this wordpress theme design that I chose and the fine line theory applies to many other things too.

 Life is a learning journey, the more experiences you been through, the more learning you gather and you grow. And when you grow you have more power to make choices. So learn now and choose now; do you want to be on the bright side or the dark side; choose now; is it to be happy or sad? The choice is yours.
